New 6 Week Beginners Course

Yoga as Medicine

This 6 week course is being hosted by Jo Burns, our Yoga Medicine trained Teacher at TDR Academy of Movement and Therapy in Ballyclare. It is suitable for anyone who has an interest in learning the basics of Yoga to begin their journey in learning about your body and mind, mobility in movement, breath, relaxation and strength. Even if you have practiced Yoga before, revisiting your alignment to aid better movement in your Yoga is essential for longevity of practicing whether in class or at home.

Jo is Yoga Medicine trained and will teach to aid those in the group on a personal level to develop your own individual Yoga practice. Our class numbers are the smallest of any studio around - so we can keep it focussed and all about you and your practice. Alignment and personal care is our focus - we hope to bring a new practice to life for you!

This class is suitable for any level and particular beginners as many modifications will be incorporated for when your body finds a challenge. We strongly advise you get in contact with Tanya Ross at TDR Academy to discuss your current health if you have any conditions affecting your health currently to be sure of your suitability for the class. In some cases a 1:1 may be advised before taking part in a class to ensure your movements are screened to help your knowledge and progression with Yoga to discover specific modifications required.

Your body and mind will truly feel the benefit of the time out for you, through movement and breath work and relaxation!

There are a limited number of places available and as such you are only booked in once you have prepaid to secure your place.

Investment for the 6 weeks - £50

You can book your place online and payments are accepted by Visa or Mastercard via Mindbody.

Please note - there will be an option to continue after the 6 weeks to develop your Yoga practice further, so we do not leave you alone after your initial steps. We are here to support you for as long as is needed. Many people stick with it when they feel the benefits and never leave! Yoga will take a hold of your body and your heart!
